1D: 5 Seconds Of Summer are keen to write for One Direction\'s Niall Horan

The group, who regularly tour with One Direction, are keen to write for the Irish boybander, 22, when he releases material away from 1D.

Lead singer Luke Hemmings, 19, told me: “I’d love to write for Niall if he does a solo album. We’ve written for One Direction before and he’s a good dude.

"They are very talented so we would love to get involved.”

If the collaboration happens, the lads will make sure Niall’s album delivers an important message, as they want to see mainstream artists singing about meaningful topics.

Their upcoming album Sounds Good Feel Good was inspired by the difficulties many of their fans face, especially depression.

Bassist Calum Hood, 19, added: “We want to reach out to people and show them no matter how much money you have, you go through the same things as everyone else, but you will get through it.

“We wrote about the topics people don’t want to talk about but we want our fans to be able to relate to our music. No-one in the mainstream pop industry is doing that.”

Their new single \'Hey Everybody!\'is out now and the album Sounds Good Feels Good is released on October 23. Get your tissues ready.

POP cutie Selena Gomez has secretly been battling a serious disease.

The US singer stepped out of the spotlight last year to undergo chemotherapy.

Selena, 23, revealed: “I was diagnosed with lupus, and I’ve been through chemotherapy. That’s what my break was really about. I could’ve had a stroke."

She added: “I locked myself away until I was confident again.”

Fortunately new album Revival is the perfect career pick-me-up and it’s out today.

After checking her pits for the dreaded marks, she admitted: “Oh my God, I’m so nervous. I’m very shy ,believe it or not.”

It was all for a good cause though as Ellie was there to help launch Special K’s Bring Colour Back campaign, which aims support women around the globe.
